WSLv1 is painfully slow when pasting giant text into vim

Repro Steps

Paste giant text (1 megabytes, but only 32 lines) with very few lines (typical for minified JS) from clipboard into vim in text mode

It takes ages, and becomes one-by-line paste from some point. Also impossible to stop the operation: Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Z do not work

I don't know if vim has the same problem on bare metal Ubuntu, or if this a Microsoft Terminal problem :( Please feel free to transfer into the Terminal repo if you think it's a Terminal's issue.

Expected Behavior

Paste happens fast

Actual Behavior

Paste slows down to copying several 100 char/sec and can take ages

The script will output the path of the log file once done.
